Spring Breakin. . .

Spring Break in River Run Gallery

OK, I know it's not the beach,
but,
it is fun!!!

I offered a daytime class during spring break,
not realizing exactly how popular it might be,

so I ended up offering two sessions of the same painting on the same day.

 First Session in the morning.

Lots of kids, moms, friends, and art

 Drying those paintings.

Finished paintings in the morning session.

Look at all those swirling flowers.

 Second session in the afternoon
had a family come in and mom and dad helped each child
on their paintings.

These girls did their paintings in lots of purples, lavenders, and pinks
because they had purple rooms
and of course, these masterpieces were going to hang
in their rooms.

It is so fun to see how each student approaches their painting.

Some are very shy and meticulous,
some are very free and loose,
some want no help,
others want lots of help,
some want to follow the directions,
others want to go out on their own and listen to their own drummer.

It's just like the adults in their world.

Thanks for coming in and sharing your spring break with me.

There is sort of a beach behind the gallery,
on the Ohio River.

Thanks for stopping by.
